Really Cool Math Cube That You Will Love!

Click Here to See the Product

I found this wonderful math cube quite by accident and I am glad I did.  My first graders love using this and will ask for it if I don't put it out during our Math Daily 5 time.  I ordered two and one of them had a hole in it when it arrived.  They replaced it without me having to return the defective one.  I found it at American Educational Products and they have a lot of other items as well for younger and older students.  It is called a "Tumble 'n Teach dice.  Students can practice two different mathematical functions with this fun cube.  There are two dice inside the 7" transparent cube with addition and subtraction functions printed on the surface of the cube.  Students complete the equation created by the upward facing function and the two dice.

I started off making sheets to go with it and then one day one of my students came up to me and had made their own air dice math sheets.  So now they are all competing to see who can come up with the coolest worksheet.  Try it out and see if it is something you would like in one of your centers or classroom.

My First Post EVER!

Fabulously First!  Finding a name for this blog wasn't an easy task since just about every word that goes with "first" grade was pretty much taken.  I started my first TpT and Teachers Notebook store last weekend and I couldn't wait to get a blog started.  Some people might not think that is such a big deal but for someone that did not even have technology growing up I think I have done pretty good.  I am one of six first grade teachers in a Title I Distinguished School which has kept that title for 10 years now.  I'm not sure how we are doing it but something is working for us!
