You Were In First Grade?

Yes, I really was a first grader once many years ago.  My first graders wanted to know what I looked like when I was in first grade so I took this picture and put it in dropbox and headed off to school.  I also had to take in my trusted and faithful friend and "Huggy" so that they could see my raggedy old doggie named Hippie that I carried around when I was little.  They were fascinated with the fact that I had a "Huggy" and still had it.  So I think where this is leading is that they are each going to want to bring in their "Huggy" now to show me what they use to sleep with at night to make the world safer.

  1. Boy, you can really tell from your sweet picture that we were in first grade in the same era! :) I think we went to the same beauty parlor!

I did a "huggy" project with my class which was a big hit! They brought theirs in, I took a photo of each child with his own, and they wrote about them. Made a nice display, which was then turned into a popular class book when the display came down.

  2. Precious pic! I know your kiddos loved seeing that!
